All of the above rates are subject to the 4.166% (Neighbor Island) or 4.712% (Oahu) Hawaii General Excise Tax or any other tax, which may be assessed by the State of Hawaii or other taxing authority during tie term of this agreement. Weekly rates are based on rentals of six (6) or seven (7) consecutive days on the same island. Additional days will revert to the daily rates. The above rates will be collected directly from the Client's customer along with the Hawaii General Excise Tax.

The above rates do not include the State Motor Vehicle Rental (Highway) Surcharge of $3.00 per rental day, applicable Vehicle Licensing Fee (from $.17 to $.50 /day) and the Airport Concession Recovery Fee (11.11% at Honolulu International Airport and 8.1% in Lihue, Kahului, Kona, Hilo and on Molokai), or any other such charges as may be imposed on the car rental transaction. Such charges will be collected directly from the renter at the time of rental. (If any of the preceding surcharge/fees increase. Dollar will notify Client in a timely manner and will set forth a date of implementation.) Gasoline, the optional protection coverage, including Loss Damage Waiver (LDW), Personal Protection Plan (PPP), Supplemental Liability Insurance (SLI), and Uninsured Motorist Protection (UMP), upgrades, overtime and drop charges, under-age and /or additional driver charges, along with the applicable tax (4.166% or 4.712%), are additional and will also be collected directly from the renter at the time of rental. Overtime is calculated on a 24-hour day for each rental agreement.
